“Throughout history, outstanding leaders have been ordinary people with extraordinary vision and the skills to communicate it.” – Anon
To be a leader, you must be able to communicate. How well you do it will affect your success – in life and work; in your education, family and relationships.
Communication is the process of exchanging information, feelings and ideas. An active process, it involves converting, sending and interpreting intended messages.
There are two parts to communication. Part A is expression: speaking, writing, acting. Part B is the receiving side: listening, reading, observing. Both bring ideas, feelings and experience.
These are just our intentional ways of communicating. We also communicate unintentionally, through our attitudes, body language, voice tones and behaviour.
Think of a speaker that bored you or excited you – was it just their words?
We communicate more than words when we speak. We communicate our energy, feelings and experience.
Communication begins with awareness. Your ability to send clear messages to others is increased when you are in touch with your feelings, thoughts, desires and motives.
At the end of our one day communication workshop you will walk away knowing:
- Effective listening skills
- How to send clear messages
- The eight communication barriers and how to overcome them
- Ways to improve your communication
- The secrets of speaking effectively
- How to speak like a leader
And much more
One day workshop- Fee: $250.00
